    The responsibilities of the AM Cross Dock Warehouse Supervisor include checking in drivers returning from routes and cleaning and closing the warehouse at night.

     

    This position will be based in our AM Cross Dock Warehouse facility located in Pensacola, Florida.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
    • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
    • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
    • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
    • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
    • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
    • Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
    • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing organization standards and adhering to legal requirements.
    • Makes deliveries to customers as needed. Must maintain active CMV license.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Interact with sales force by distributing POS and samples, receiving phone calls from sales and customers and answering delivery related questions, and researching orders in SAP.
    • Plan and determine labor needs according to volume and establish work schedules to minimize overtime.
    • Maintain a positive presence on the floor throughout the shift.

    Qualifications

    • Experience as Warehouse Supervisor with alcoholic beverages or wholesale grocery products. 
    • Must have a valid CDL (A or B) License.
    • Strong supervisory skills in directing and coaching others.
    • Bachelor degree or experience in lieu of degree.
    • Ability to train associates in the safe operations of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
    • Working knowledge of inventory management systems, SAP preferred.
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally and maintain physical activity bending, lifting, walking, stooping, and climbing.
    • Working knowledge of inventory management systems preferred.
    • Experience moving tractor trailers helpful.
