  • Overview

    The Spirits Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing the sales of spirit supplier brands to the trade through effective territory planning, selling, merchandising and communication that enables the achievement of company and supplier objectives. This role will cover Richmond, Charlottesville and Fredericksburg territory. 

    Responsibilities

    Required Duties:         

     

    • Execute sales goals  in assigned key accounts overlaying the sales team.
    • Lead development of annual plans for key accounts that insure the delivery of business goals
    • Assist Sales Management and Trade Development in the development of account specific presentations as well as goals for volume, profit, and distribution.
    • Conduct on premise staff trainings in designated accounts to further our sales results and relationships
    • Participate in the training of sales rep through consistent on premise work withs
    • Ensure brand standards are being met throughout the marketplace.

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience preferred.
    • An understanding of wine and spirits is required.  Experience in the on premise wine sales/service environment is highly preferred.
    • Individuals with strong accounting, computer, customer service and interpersonal expertise preferred.
    • Must be a results oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills; uses diplomacy and discretion. Strong customer service orientation. Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
    • Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various programs including presentation software.
    • Familiarity with assigned territory is a plus. 
    • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
    • The position requires the use of a personal vehicle.
