  • Overview

    Operates a forklift to move, receive and ship products and materials.

     

    Work Schedule:

    • Monday night through Friday morning 6:30 PM-5:00 AM
    • 4- Ten hour shifts

    Responsibilities

    • Perform daily inspection of assigned forklift and reports any deficiencies
    • Operates a forklift to move production materials throughout the warehouse in a safe and responsible manner
    • Load route trucks with product per the computerized loading schematics
    • Build orders for dock routes per invoice
    • Follow company instructions, guidelines, procedures and check to verify amounts of product that are received and shipped against appropriate paperwork
    • Monitor code dates and utilizes the oldest product first
    • Unload incoming shipments of products
    • Pick up and clean work areas
    • Repair breakage
    • Report any unsafe work area conditions
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    • Prefer High School diploma or its equivalent
    • Experience in related area a plus
      • Have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
    • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written English instructions

    Physical Demands of Job:

    • Carrying and lifting of 65 pounds to perform various duties as assigned for extend periods
    • Frequent reaching with intermittent reaching overhead
    • Standing for extended periods of time to perform various duties
    • Walking for extended periods of time to perform various  duties
    • Frequent squatting and/or bending to perform various duties as assigned
