  • Overview

    The Accountant applies principals of accounting to analyze financial information, prepare monthly journal entries, prepare consolidated financial statements, and annual budgets.


    • Responsible for the monthly close of assigned business units by preparing monthly journal entries and completing general ledger reconciliation in a centralized accounting environment. Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports as needed.
    • Effectively communicate with and support the local finance and operational groups in daily accounting.
    • Report on organization's finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecastsAccurately track and facilitate corporate allocations to the operating units and intercompany balances.
    • Develop a quality control process that includes both qualitative and quantitative procedures to be administered over the Business Unit Accounting month-end close process.
    • Help manage elements of the external audit by responding to requests and deploying effective open items management procedures.


    • 4 Year Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
    • Extensive experience in utilizing PC based software and relational database structures to access information to create analytical reports. Advanced knowledge and understanding of MS Excel is required.
    • Experience in a centralized accounting environment with G/L responsibilities from record-to-report.
    • 6-9 years’ experience in a business/accounting related field.
    • SAP or similar ERP software experience a plus.
    • Experience with Blackline or similar close management software a plus.
