  • Overview

    Manages and coaches Beverage Event Specialist teams by guiding team in providing professional consultative services in Beverage Consulting to include; menu engineering, ideation, training, education, marketing, profitability, operational efficiencies, sales strategy, event planning and execution and business trends to position BBG at the forefront and top of mind in the marketplace.

    Responsibilities

    Manages and coaches the beverage and events planning team by developing and administering schedules, budgets, and performance standards.   Manages supplier relationships for the team and produces communication pieces as needed for publication and media.

    Provide the following Consultative services both internally and externally to our clients:

    • Writes, executes, and develops cocktail solutions to strategic accounts.
    • Supports New Accounts assisting in full beverage program needs (fine dining, nightclub, cocktail lounge)
    • Develops bespoke cocktails and deliver “one stop shop” solutions to accounts – from creation, to training, to menu development
    • Oversees seasonal menu changes in top accounts
    • Establishes and grow relationship equity with industry influencers, tastemakers and decision makers.
    • Provides commodity, beverage, and channel expertise to sales teams and on key account calls
    • Filters and provides ad hoc industry and trend information

    Training & Education

    • Provides basic skills, specialized staff training and overall consultant approach to top accounts
    • Delivers comprehensive education platform for spirits knowledge, history, and production, working alongside Director of Training
    • Provides comprehensive staff trainings on new brands, cocktails, and basic skills to accounts
    • Provides “train the trainer” sessions with DMs to ensure beverage development approach is communicated through the teams

    Responsible for statewide Event Planning, management, and execution.

    • Assists in brand kickoffs and conceptualize beverage development strategy for new and priority brands
    • Works alongside supplier mixologists and/or ambassadors to deliver full-service to accounts and internal teams

    Admin & Reporting

    • Implements monthly reporting and review meetings with on premise managers to assess progress and identify opportunities
    • Serves as expert consultant on innovation brand assessment

    Qualifications

    • 4 year college degree or equivalent experience preferred
    • Spirit Certification preferred (BAR, Barsmarts, CSS)
    • 3+ years bartending/management in high end cocktail/bar establishment
    • 2+ years writing and developing cocktail and spirits menus
    • 2+ years training bartenders and wait staff on cocktails, sprits, production and history
