  • Overview

    The Senior Application Developer’s primary role is to support the implementation and ongoing operations of SAP’s Materials Management Module. This position participates in the planning, development, maintenance, and enhancement of this functional area of SAP. In addition this role requires a solid understanding of SAP’s process flow, WM, Finance, and other applicable areas. Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.


    Meets business requirements and objectives by designing, developing and implementing modification and/or configuration changes. Communicates capabilities/possibilities within applications. Customizes application functionality to satisfy business requirements and business process design. Works with the Project Managers, Senior Developers in other areas and Business Stakeholders to understand the processes, workflows and requirements

    Participates in design, development and testing of new features based on the requirements provided by the customers or internal specifications. Designs and code review sessions for the new features that are being implemented.

    Identifies, troubleshoots issues/problems and debugs code in addition to the maintenance of the existing systems.

    Ensures timely results by delivering tasks/projects as of committed completion dates; task statuses and time accounting are updated regularly in a format readily available for analysis by management.



    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field with coursework in technology-related subjects
    • 7 years of experience with applicable functional applications
    • Experience in specific system module and End to End ERP system implementations is a plus
    • Specific certification in system or
    • At least 5 years of experience developing and supporting enterprise business applications or equivalent academic background
    • Ability to travel up to 20%
    • SAP configuration skills in in specific module is a must
    • Experience with ABAP Development
    • Solid understanding of SAP data model
    • Solid understanding process flow enterprise system
    • Familiarity with SAP architecture
    • Clear understanding of ERP modules related to and within functional support area such as Warehouse Management (WM), Materials Management (MM) and their inter-dependencies in SAP environment with FI (Finance including controlling) and Sales and Distribution(SD) modules.
    • Finance (FI) and their inter-dependencies in SAP environment
    • An understanding of the software development lifecycles, planning and implementation
    • Experience in the sales and marketing aspects of the distribution industry, a plus
    • An understanding of the SAP implementation methodology is a must
    • Experience with SAP Data Services and Fiori (UI) is a plus
