  • Overview

    Drives truck over established route to deliver products to customers and makes changes by performing the following duties. 

    .

    Responsibilities

    • Loads and unloads vehicles by hand or by use of hand truck or dolly and ensure that truck is locked and secured at all times.
    • Delivers and stacks merchandise in customer’s place of business.
    •  Makes changes, and records transactions on customer receipt.
    •  Collects or picks up empty containers.
    • Obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
    • Picks up and returns empty boxes to the warehouse.
    •  Performs daily inspections on truck, check oil and water level. 
    • Must have company cell phone in possession at all times and abide by state and federal laws.
    •  During slow delivery periods, must work in the warehouse performing various duties.
    •  Must safeguard all company property and use in accordance with policies and procedures. Also, must adhere to all Green Road rules.

    • QUALIFICATIONS

      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

      High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have had a CDL and have 12 months of driving hours in the last 2 years.

       

      LANGUAGE SKILLS

      Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.  Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

       

      MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

      Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. 

       

      REASONING ABILITY

      Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

       

      CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

      Commercial Driver License and a clean MVR report.

       

      OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

      Driving, reading road signs, maps, logos on cases and invoices.
