  • Overview

    Breakthru Beverage South Carolina has an opportunity for an Accounting Specialist based out of our Ridgeway, SC office.  The Accounting Specialist is responsible for the day to day management of the non-trade AP and non-trade PO processes, and provideds support services to the day and night cashiers and supplier accounts receivable as required.


    • Supplier accounts receivable – approve and settle samples and post accounts payable invoices that are charged to suppliers.
    • Resolves non-trade A/P processing exceptions by working with appropriate external and internal contacts. (Web-Cycles).
    • Supports other non-trade AP processes by researching vendor statements and scanning/filing of invoices.
    • Create and extend non-trade blanket PO’s and monitor payments. Review non-trade GRIR weekly for issues; research, request more information and process accordingly.
    • Review non-trade MRBR for issues; communicate with PO creators as needed requesting goods receipt and or invoices; question price differences as needed.
    • Daily cashier duties as needed (batching, running checks, posting payments).
    • Back-up to night cashiers (checking in drivers) as needed to cover sick days and vacations.
    • Non-trade AP processing for all vendor invoices received directly by the Company (those not sent to Corporate).
    • Input of all urgent check requests.
    • New employee and non-trade vendor set-up. Month-end accrual compilation.
    • Other duties/projects as deemed necessary to assist the Accounting Supervisor, Senior Director Finance, and Financial Analyst.
    • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. 
    • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


    • High School Diploma or equivalent, college preferred.
    • 3 – 5 years prior accounting or accounts payable experience strongly preferred.
    • Experience with SAP or similar enterprise wide system is a plus.
    • The ability to understand accounts payable processing in an SAP environment.
    • Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer systems (prior SAP and Excel a plus).
    • Must have excellent numeric aptitude.
    • Must be a results oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as strong customer service skills.
    • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, attention to detail and meet deadlines.

    While performing the duties of this job the associate is regularly exposed normal business office environment. The ability to share workspace, travel by car or train, dress in proper business attire, attend evening meetings and meet deadlines are all requirements of this position. Associate is exposed to a warehouse environment and may require exposure to inclement weather.
