  • Overview

    As a Database Administrator your primary responsibility will be to ensure the availability, integrity, security and reliability of all SQL Server databases through personal contributions and by the monitoring and mentoring contributions of other Database Administrators. You will ensure the accuracy of SQL Server databases by reviewing and implementing all QA and production SQL Server database objects. Responsible for ensuring customer confidence and confidentiality of operations and information.


    • Maintaining data models and database designs by providing data access and performing table maintenance.
    • Maintaining database integrity by identifying and resolving database performance issues, capacity planning, replications and other distributed data issues.
    • Ensuring the security and integrity of the company’s databases by administering, maintaining, developing, and recommending policies and procedures per best practices.
    • Assessing the impact of database changes on system performance by effectively working with software development teams.
    • Assisting users who encounter problems by reviewing help desk software queue, monitoring phone and email inquiries.
    • Forecasting growth and performance requirements by using trends and expectations of the business goals.
    • Maintaining security best practices by auditing user profile accounts, access levels, executing corporate policies as assigned by supervisor and other duties as needed.

    • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
    • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
    • Participating in On-Call rotation.


    • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent technical training and work experience.
    • 3 or more years’ experience performing similar duties.
    • Must have experience with SQL 2008R2 or higher.
    • Demonstrated experience working in environments with more than 20 SQL servers to manage and maintain
    • Integration Services (SSIS), stored procedures and job scheduler, preferred.
    • SAP HANA, SAP, SLT, and Data Services, desirable.
    • Experience managing and maintaining other Enterprise class databases or operating systems, desirable
    • Up to 10% travel may be necessary for training or collaborative work.
    • Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other computer systems with a strong emphasis on Excel. SAP experience a plus.
    • Ability to utilize web search engines.
