  • Overview

    This project management role is responsible for driving sales performance related to revenue, gross profit, case sales, customer relations, supplier relations and associate engagement.   The Capabilities Project Manager partners with local leaders and the Regional Capability Director to identify the key initiatives in the specific market then facilitates the development, adoption and leadership buy-in for execution.   The role reports into sales with a dotted line to the Regional Capabilities leader. The role is also responsible for developing current programs and identify new programs.


    • Acts as capability lead for home market – assist house in embedding capabilities and monitor progress and compliance. Provides oversight on all capabilities related activities in market.  Acts as local expert on sales and capabilities tools and platforms.   This includes creating local capability action plans and managing all capabilities.  Typically, there are 12 action plans and 60 assessments other capabilities to monitor—revenue, supplier engagement.   The day to day includes: creating the action plan, identifying and creating new ways of working, coordinating & partnering with various departments to keep initiatives moving forward.  
    • Works with BBG Commercial Capabilities team and external consultants to coordinate capabilities engagements. Partners in capability regional status check-in’s and other review meetings.   Significant planning is involved in coordination of quarterly assessments involving all sales leaders with 2-3 meetings simultaneous, documentation prepared in advance, prepared in advance to guide the meetings. 
    • Acts as liaison between corporate Commercial Capabilities team and local region. This involves meeting with the regional and corporate teams; attending capabilities summit, and sharing best practices, etc.
    • Leads, launches and drives adoption of commercial capability sales systems with support of local leaders in specific markets. Provides change management assistance  and/or influences leaders and associates on the new ways of working, new processes, new systems, etc. 
    • Drives collaboration and communication across region to align and embed critical capabilities.


    • 5+ year of Sales, Industry, L&D, and Communications experience
    • Project management experience
    • Advanced Office 365, Excel, Powerpoint and Word skills
    • Communication skills are critical – ability to set clear expectations

      Strong change management skills

    • Ability to partner with leadership; be objective, open and collaborative.
    • Ability to see the big picture and the impacts at all levels in the organization. Attention to detail and follow through are important to the success.
    • Excellent problem solving skills
