  • Overview

    The Lead Application Developer – SAP primary role and responsibility is to support the implementation and ongoing operations of the SAP enterprise resource planning system with primary focus on Sales & Distribution configuration with focus on EDI, and ABAP development.

    Responsibilities

    • Meets business requirements and objections by developing and implementing SAP modification and/or configuration changes.
    • Provides functional expertise, guidance, presentation and instruction by educating customers on SAP products.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies.
    • Participation in on-call rotation and projects that are conducted between 6pm and 8am weekdays, and any time of day on Saturdays and Sundays may be required. This includes holidays.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent technical training and work experience desired.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business consulting, software solution implementation and industry expertise in the Sales & Distribution (SD), Warehouse Management (WM), Materials Management (MM), and Finance (FI) functional areas of SAP.
    • Minimum of 7 years overall technology experience.
    • An understanding of the SAP implementation methodology is a must.
    • SAP SO module with a focus on Pricing and Condition technique is required.
    • Clear understanding of integration of Sales & Distribution (SD) module with other ERP modules such as Warehouse Management (WM), Materials Management (MM), Finance (FI) in SAP environment
    • Sound knowledge of ABAP Objects, IDOC interface processing, ALE, BAPIs, BDCs, BADIs, user-exits, and Workflow is preferred.
    • Must be a results oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as strong customer service skills.
    • Ability to develop in a fast paced environment, multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, attention to detail and meet deadlines.
    • Up to 30% travel required.
